We love social games. In our view, they provide one of the best occasions for sitting around a table with friends and family, in order to share something that transcends the mere results on the game board. We hope that our products will contribute to bringing people together, and to bolster social games as an alternative to screens and controllers.
We all know the feeling of spending dosh on gifts that in our hearts we don't don't really believe in. We hope to replace some of those bottle of booze or pairs of socks with something rather more personal.
Luudoo has weathered difficult times mainly by listening well to our customers. Without your feedback, we'd be long out of business. But we have learnt to keep an open ear at all times, and we value our customers and what you have to say.
Our ambition and our respect for our customers and the publishers that we work with demand that we only offer the highest quality possible. This includes materials used, the printing technology, and the process set up for creating and customising games. The use of state-of-the-art and innovative technology is one of our hallmarks. Using 3D face recognition software and rapid prototyping technology, for instance, allows our customers to create figurines in their own likeness, true to life.
Which means two things for us, foremost: Environmentally sustainable production processes, and respect in all our relationships with our colleagues, business partners, and wider society.
Pursuing the first goal can conflict with our dedication to the highest quality, requiring us to carefully weigh all options and arrive at the best possible trade-off. The standard boxes for our card games provide a good example. Until 2021, we used boxes made of transparent plastic. Since then, we have switched to cardboard. The boxes made of cardboard a less durable and provide a little less protection. But their advantage in terms of environmental sustainability swayed our decision. For some products, like the Magic Cube, there isn't a good alternative yet.
Respectful relationships with colleagues, business partners, and wider society can, in some case, imply higher cost. But we have only worked with European production partners so far, and we plan to continue to do so. Respect for colleagues and society also means that every now and then, we deny a game created by a customer, if there is discriminatory or hateful content that infringes on our respect for our colleagues working hard to produce and deliver our games, and society at large.
